SHIPPING

Bike Academy applies a flat fee of 6,99€ for every kind of product and for the entire territory of Italy.

Whereas for the international shippings the cost is 9,99€ for the products of small dimensions and 99,99€ for the bikes.

The shipping is for free for orders that surpass the amount of 89,99€ (EXCLUSIVELY FOR ITALY), for the international shippings we apply different fees.

The product will be shipped with the couriers GLS, DHL or FERCAM within 24h from the purchase (or from the moment that we receive the payment, in case of bank transfer or financing). The delivery will be completed in 24/48h, when the order is entrusted to the courier the customer receives a SMS or an E-Mail with the link of the tracking. The products “available on order” will be shipped within 7/10 days from the placement of the order.

The deliveries and the services are managed by the couriers, possibles delay of delivery do not give entitlement to refunds.

PRODUCTS WARRANTY

The warranty on the single products is associated to the original warranty of the manufacturer, in fact Bike Academy doesn’t take responsibility for any anomalies.

The warranty on USED bikes extends to 12 months form the moment of purchase.

In case the assistance of warranty is asked for a product purchased from Bike Academy, it is possible to contact an authorized assistance centre of the brand of the product that was bought.

Alternatively is possible to ask for this service contacting Bike Academy which will make a request of warranty

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

The selling of the product on the Internet are set by the law D.Lgs n. 21 of 21/02/2014 which regulates distance contracts or rather made outside from the stores. That law states the right of withdrawal, also known as the possibility for the customer of reinstate the product that was purchased and get a refund for the amount that was spent.

This right is reserved only to physical persons (customers).

To exercise the right of withdrawal it is necessary to send, within 14 days following the shipping date, a communication expressing the desire to withdraw from the contract via your customer area and at the same time return the products within 14 days to our Bike shop Academy. The only non-refundable costs requested are those incurred by the consumer for shipping the product.

To place the return, once entered into the customer area, click on Start Return Products in the menu on the left and follow the instructions.

If the order was placed without an account, enter the informations in the page “Tracking Order”, then transform the guest account in logged account by entering the required password. You will have the access to your personal area in which is possible to ask for a new return or manage the past returns.

The right of withdrawal is not considered valid once the returned product doesn’t respect the following requirements:

• The original packaging is missing.
• The proof of purchase is missing (receipt).
• The original labels has been cut or missing.
• Absence of integral elements of the product (accessories, screws, instruction manuals, etc).

The return of the product in case of withdrawal is in charge of the customer and the related expenses will be charged to the customer.

In case the product needs to be changed with another one it’s necessary to return it and a coupon usable in the next order will be created.

If in the returned order promotional codes were used, they will not longer be usable.

Bike Academy carries out checks of the products before sending them but in case of any fault in the product make sure to contact us to indicate the problem. We need to examine if the faulted product can be resolved without the return and, in case the return is needed, Bike Academy (in the majority of the cases) will collect it with its own courier.

The customers that buy as companies and/or professionals with VAT number for which an invoice was then issued they cannot assert the right of withdrawal art. 1469 bis.

The return procedure in case of products that were bought with order pick up in store, follows the same conditions considered valid for the returns of the orders shipped with the courier. The only difference: no cash refund will be made of the order. The refund will be made following the payment option or with a discount coupon usable on our website.

REFUND

Bike Academy will proceed with the refund for the cost of the goods shipped excluding shipping costs (round trip even in the case of free shipping) within 7 working days subsequent to receipt of the returned order.

The return will be considered valid only if the products respect the requirements of the right of withdrawal (indicated above).

The refund will be realized with the same payment mode used by the customer: bank transfer for orders payed with transfer (indicate your bank details), on the credit card or PayPal; for orders payed with the cash on delivery the commission of the shipment with cash on delivery will not be refunded and the refund will be made with bank transfer or discount coupon, usable on our website

ORDERS

Bike Academy shop has the possibility to accept or reject any order received. In case of rejection of the order the team will contact you directly and refund the total of the amount of the order.

All the orders that will not be paid within 5 days of their creation will be considered canceled.

For Canceling an order that hasn’t been shipped just contact us promptly before receiving your shipping confirmation.
Only if the order hasn’t been shipped (order under management) it is possible to ask for the cancelation and the refund. An additional operating cost of 5 euros is expected. It will be retracted from the refund itself to recover processing costs (product management and preparation).

During checkout you can select whether to buy at our online store with purchase receipt or invoice, if you choose to proceed with the purchase by receipt, it will no longer be possible to issue an invoice for the purchase that has just been completed.

The technical data sheet accompanying the product may not be complete and exhaustive regarding the specifications of the article itself. The image used for the product it is purely indicative, sometimes suppliers may change their packaging without any notice.

The customer is informed that some items such as sprocket cassettes, chains, shifters, seat posts, rear sprockets and other items can also be sold in non-boxed packages which are identical and of the same level as those in boxes but sold by our supplier only for a question of logistics.

The quantities of the articles shown on the website www.bikeacademyshop.com in 99.9% of cases correspond to the real ones available in our warehouses, but in cases of simultaneous orders of the same article by multiple users, cases of unavailability may occur; in these cases our team undertakes to promptly contact the customer to propose solutions.

If the order concerns a bicycle, it is recommended to purchase the Pre-assembly service (ready-to-use bike) separately at a cost of €149 so as to have the bike completely assembled, adjusted and ready. Otherwise the bike will be shipped in the box as it arrives from our distributor, after general inspection.

It is also possible to make some changes to the bicycle components (upon purchase of the "Pre-assembly" service) specifying them in the notes during the purchase phase. For example, you can change: the size of the stem, the saddle, the tires, the teeth of the sprocket set and / or the crown, (obviously of the same level and value of the original components, otherwise there will be a surcharge on the total) or add the dropper post by purchasing it in the same order.

The price of the bicycles you find online is to be understood without exchanging used items and without assembly.

PICK UP IN STORE

Orders placed with the “PickUp in Store" service will be processed like all other orders.
You can collect the order at our office, in Via di Sottomonte, 12, Guamo, Capannori (Lu), from the moment you will be notified by email that the order is "ready for collection".
It is not possible to request further discounts, negotiations, additions or changes to the materials when collecting the order.

In case of purchase of a bicycle with “PickUp in Store", the same procedure described above is followed, as for all other products, except that the bike will be delivered in boxes, (to be partially assembled) and without a positioning service on the saddle, unless the "pre-assembly" service is purchased

PRICES

Prices are inclusive of VAT for shipments to Italy and CEE countries. The prices for direct shipments to customers residing outside the European Community (non-EU) are to be understood net of VAT and customs duties. Local VAT and any customs duties will be charged to the recipient and will be requested by the shipper during the delivery of the goods.

Prices can be changed at any time, without notice.

The online prices, indicated as WEB Price, DIFFER from those applied in the store. The sales services are different: those who buy in the store receive a different type of service. In-store, the sales staff are not authorized to apply the prices published online.
