The crankset is the heart of the new 1x Ekar system, with its gearing options covering a wide range of uses.

Of course, the single chainring is simple to use: no derailleur, significantly reduced weight, fewer moving components that collect dirt and can create snags and high chain security, without unnecessary gear overlap – perfect solution for gravel routes .

The two cranks made of UD carbon fiber mount AISI 630 steel semi-axles, in line with the skilful combination of materials of the entire Ekar group, in order to obtain lightweight components, but with maximum efficiency and durability.

The new ProTech™ technology joins the two half-axles inside the bottom bracket, with a single strong screw. The oversized stainless steel bearing is located on the crank, keyed to the half-axle, for maximum smoothness and strength - and to be easily accessible for inspection and maintenance, without having to dismantle the cups.
