The Ekar 13-speed cassette is available in three different options, which complete the range and reflect the different specializations within the gravel scene, and each combination provides a very smooth gear progression. Small jumps for the first 6 sprockets, while the jumps increase in the second half, where the larger sprockets are. This feature allows you to offer an optimal riding experience and helps you get the best out of your performance on difficult routes and terrain. The wide choice of larger sprockets allows for the most compact cassette for endurance events and longer gears for more adventurous riders. Cassette combinations are paired with dedicated, easily replaceable gears to provide the widest range of gears, smooth shifting and maximum efficiency and, unlike 2x systems, no waste. Two of the three combinations are equipped with a 9-tooth sprocket. Extensive comparative testing has shown that the 9-tooth sprocket is as efficient as any 10- or 11-tooth sprocket, with no additional friction through the specially profiled teeth, so you don't lose any of the power you produce.

Each cassette is made up of two blocks: 4 smaller sprockets and 9 larger sprockets in the 9-tooth starting configuration; 3 smaller and 10 larger for the starting 10 configuration. For greater mechanical resistance, a special steel is used with a satin nickel-chrome-finish surface treatment which reduces wear and friction, providing optimal robustness for driving on dirt roads. The sprockets are fitted with the new N3W freewheel body, currently present on Campagnolo Shamal Carbon wheels, but which will be compatible with a wide range of upcoming wheels. N3W is very versatile, it features the same grooved profiles as the classic Campagnolo freewheel body, but it is lighter and 4.4 mm shorter. With appropriate rings and adapters, N3W is also compatible with all current and future Campagnolo 12, 11 and 10 speed groupsets, thanks to adapter kits soon available. Since all current Campagnolo HH12 disc brake wheels are N3W compatible, you can easily make your wheels Ekar compatible - changing wheels is quick and easy!
