The eTAP electronics take cycling to a new level: flawless and reliable shifting even in the toughest conditions. Sram eTap Blips
Sram developed the RED eTAP Blips so that you can take full advantage of the different grip positions of your drop handlebars while shifting. Two of these shift elements can be installed on each side of the handlebar. No additional hardware is needed to connect the Blips. The Blips are simply attached under the handlebar tape. Since the handlebar tape does not have to be specially cut, the Look of your interior remains tidy.
Whether you're pulling for the final sprint or climbing a step, gliding with a rounded pedal or mobilizing your last reserves of power, a push of a button is always all it takes to shift gears. to change gear. eTAP blips let you switch whenever and wherever you want. Bicycles with time trial handlebars can be equipped with the BlipBox control module.

Wireless switching, battery energy management and mechatronics - RED eTAP technology has only one goal: to offer you the most intuitive operation possible. We call the switching logic behind it eTAP. The right stalk shifts up, the left shifts down. You can control the gears via both levers. Simple, smoothly and intuitively.
Airea
eTAP transmits displacement signals with 128-bit encryption via Sram's proprietary AIREA wireless protocol. When configuring an eTAP group, a new encryption code is generated each time and assigned to the individual components. This ensures interference-free switching operations.
