Sram HARD CHROME™ chain has four times the wear resistance of other chains. This is due to our new inner link and roller manufacturing process. The strength of the push pins and overall strength are the same as our current chains. HARD CHRME™ chain lasts longer and is extremely durable.
PowerLock
Sram's chain engineers developed PowerLock as a secure and consistent way to connect our chains without the use of tools. While the PL requires no special tools for assembly, given the tight tolerance range of a 10- and 11-speed drivetrain, each PowerLock can only be used once.
