Many professional cyclists choose tubulars to obtain superior performance on the road. It is the lightest of all types of tires and has lower rolling resistance than a clincher, furthermore the higher pressures they can reach ensure maximum smoothness and an incomparable feeling.

The application of a composite anti-puncture layer and a high carbon content compound has made it possible to use a thinner tread in this model, while still maintaining high resistance to wear and punctures. The thinner tread pattern reduces rolling resistance while maintaining the ideal bump absorption properties of the asphalt.

SPC Silica

Tufo uses this high performance compound in most of their road tubulars. With a hardness index of 66 Shore (A), this blend of synthetic rubber and natural rubber with an active silica filler provides excellent wet grip and low rolling resistance.
