New front derailleur design
The Rival front derailleur has been totally redesigned. It is designed to optimize shifting when the difference between the two front sprockets is 13 teeth. The wide reach of the cassette, combined with the proportions of the front sprockets, gives you unprecedented possibilities to choose the right gear. This is because the front derailleur rotates with the chain to minimize the negative effects of cross-chaining.
Great range
The specs show that with a Rival AXS groupset, you have a much larger range than current 11-speed groupsets. There is no need to change cassettes when you are in the mountains!

Future-proof change with eTap wireless technology
Sram's eTap technology means the end of shift cables at the front derailleur. Wireless shifters make your bike more aerodynamic and you don't have to install bulky cables. An advantage of the Rival eTap AXS is that it is compatible with 12 speeds. This gives you greater range and the ability to install a 12-speed cassette. So you won't have to change the cassette when you are out in the mountains.
Reach and contact point adjustment technology
Sram's contact point adjustment allows you to adjust how close the brake pads are to the disc brake, so you can control how quickly the brake activates. Sram's Reach Adjust technology also allows you to adjust the gear shift to your ideal riding position. This allows you to adjust the distance between the brake and shift levers and the handlebar.
X-Range technology
